Aja Salvatore is a multi instrumentalist, Producer, DJ and Filmmaker who founded System Krush which focuses on the development of urban music, parties and cultural activities around the world. Its world music branch, Kanaga System Krush (K.S.K.), which operates on a fair-trade principle and has released an extensive catalog of traditional music from around the globe. The company owns a state of the art recording studio located in California where Aja has been working on his latest series of recordings and media projects.
He has worked with Grammy winner Toumani Diabate, Earl “Chinna” Smith, G.o.o.d music’s Cyhi the Prince, Grammy nominated Les Nubians, Bill Laswell, Ras Michael, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Maybach Musics Fat Trel and the latest addition to Dr. Dre’s aftermath roster - Jon Connor.
Alongside his work as a musician and music producer, Aja has recently finished a feature length documentary, "Music in Mali: Life is Hard, Music is Good", now debuting at film festivals across the country. "Music in Mali" includes an all-star cast of world renowned musicians and is narrated by Actor Danny Glover.
