AH001D: SCAPA - All Hands On Deck Mix Series

We're so excited that first up to launch our mix series is none other than SCAPA (@scapaxo) with AH001D. SCAPA is a DJ and producer based in Manchester. Her mix serves as an invitation to listen to some of the tracks she has been blasting through the house during lockdown.

This collection of minimal, electro, techno and grime weaves together local icon Afrodeutsche with the likes of Travis Scott and Japanese house hero Shinichiro Yokota, capturing a wide range of SCAPA’s inspirations while starting out as a producer.

This is SCAPA’s first ever home recorded mix and comes following her lockdown releases ‘Specious’, featured on May’s BRB (Be Right Back) Sounds From The Rainy City compilation from Manchester & Salford: Save our Scene, as well as her track ‘Binary’, released on the inaugural @shiftingspheres label release; VA - Spheres of Sound: In Support of Roshni and UK Black Pride.

SCAPA's one to keep your ears out for; an All Hands on Deck collective member from near the start, we first met her at one of our open workshops, where she introduced herself as a producer first and foremost. Earlier in the year we had the pleasure of hosting her on our International Womxn's Day radio takeover celebration, and since have been completely bowled over by the standard of her recent productions.
