PREMIERE : Ready In LED - Nostaligenta (Fabrizio Mammarella Razor Mix)

Horny City is a new disco label from Kiev. The goal of the label is to find new facets of disco sound in a mix with other styles — from pop and synth-pop to space rock and electro. The label leader is singer and musician Olya Dibrova, known as Ready in LED. Her first release on Horny City included remixes from influential producers: Prins Thomas, Gerd Janson, Lovelock, Kenneth Bager.

Since its appearance in March of this year, Ready in LED has managed to attract the attention of DJs, breeders and listeners from different countries. Her debut Unreal EP has been praised by DJ Harvey, Groove Armada, Jacques Renault, Crazy P, cult radio host Graham Park and Mixmag UK disco editor Andy Williams. In its sound, Ready in LED combines romantic synth-disco, dance-pop in the style of Robyn band bright bursts of keyboard solos.

In her native Kyiv, Ready in LED has already become a noticeable phenomenon and in the summer she presented a live show, in the center of which is a unique instrument — a 256-key micro-tone keyboard Lumatone.
Olya admits that in recent months she has recorded several collaborations with European artists. The first, a collaboration with Marcello Giordani from Marvin & Guy, has already been announced and will be released in February 2022 via Slow Motion Records.

New release Ready in LED — powerful Italo-disco banger «Nostaligenta». A retro-pop single set on arpeggio bass in the spirit of Giorgio Moroder and Mr. Flagio with shrill synth passages and guitar solos. At the climax of the track, Olya switches to falsetto, and the track begins to resemble sweeping space rock. She repeats two phrases: «Who can save the Universe?» and «Who takes sex to outer space?» These are the slogans that were used on advertising posters for the release of Roger Vadim’s film about the adventures of Barbarella. Her strong, sexy, feminine image, placed in a dangerous and cold outer space, inspired Olya to a new song.

However, this song also has its own fantastic story. «Nostaligenta is a made-up word. This is the name of the planet we dream of, although we have never been there. We strive for it and are ready for this risky space journey» — explains Ready in Led and it is obvious that in her vision the planet Nostaligenta is a symbol of the 80s era, which the singer herself did not find, but which permeated all her work.

There are also three remixes to support the release. Pre-party format: A light disco funk version from the as-yet-anonymous artist Horny City — producer of Soft Crimes with a nod to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Party: dancefloor killer with acid and trance elements from Italian producer Fabrizio Mammarella. Afterparty: An aloof and dreamy remix from Miami-based producer Rigopolar
