Regis takes MY DISCO’s penchant for heavy repetition and hammers it into nightmarish factory filth on “Our Decade (Regis Mix)”. On the flip side, Lustmord returns – on the eve of his first new album in over a decade – with a 12- minute, slow-burning meditation on the resonant space between MY DISCO’s iconic, pounding stabs. Taken as a whole, these remixes take the deceptively sparse few elements MY DISCO’s music, and push them to a terrifying precipice. It is that terror, that feeling of uneasiness and pitch-black confusion that makes them ideal companions to the original tracks that make up MY DISCO’s aptly-named Severe.
