After two years of tearing it up on stage with bands from across the metal and rock n' roll spectrum, Sydney power/doom metal outfit announce the impending release of their self-titled debut EP, pegged for online release on 7th December 2015.
Recorded with Matt Clarke (Darker Half, Gay Paris) at The Brain Studios early in 2015 and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, High On Fire), the EP sees the band embrace their 70s hard rock and 80s metal influences, delivering a record equal parts Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.
Powered by the locked-in rhythm section of beatmaster Nick Spelllicy and fuzzed-out bassman Cameron Cooper, the band pummel through five hard n' heavy numbers, with six-stringers Felix Short and Sam Barker leading the charge, topped off by Jono Palmer's screeching vocals.
Just shy of 30 minutes in total, the EP kicks off with the moody and eclectic assault of “Smoke Wizard”, which captures the essence of the band as it shifts between moments of punky ferocity, Beatles-esque melodies and doom metal grooves.
