From the steel covered hills of Khayelitsha, cometh the tallest of men, Ongama. On a bicycle with no gears and a half-stringed guitar fastened to his shoulders he travelled to Table Mountain. It is here where he grazed for a moment with the writer of words and melody, Ben Dey. “Let us travel together, Ben Dey,” said the tall man, and they walked up the mountain to see the head of the lion. They found no lions, but rather two Afrikaners, known for their fierce nature and loud voices. “We will help you find the lion,” said the Afrikaners, thinking it to be metaphorically. Today these four men exist still in the same misunderstanding, forging music incoherently in search for the sound that has brought their forefathers to the same land.
