This project started about a year ago when I sampled some notes from an old children's music box. I had a lo-fi phase at the time, so of course I had to sample a children's toy (it was a cute rabbit). I played around with the notes until I came up with a melody that I liked, and over the following months the project morphed to the monstrosity that is the final version. I added a bunch of textures and small details to the track which really saved the otherwise simple composition. At the time I also was obsessed with using VST plugins in lmms, because a version got released that finally didn't crash on me when trying to load VST's. Also I desperately I wanted to get away from that "LMMS sound".
Overall I'm quite happy with the final result, and it seems like other people agree since the track got to the 4th place in the Best of LMMS vol. 6.
