I was bored, so I made this.
'A Life Left Behind' from Dream Theater's most recent album, 'The Astonishing', has an absolutely stunning intro, but sadly, the track transforms into a generic, whiny and extremely un-proggy ballad once its done. I decided that the intro was worthy of its own track, free of the bullshit that comes afterwards, so that's kind of what I made. Enjoy! Because the intro transgresses smoothly into the actual song and thus doesn't end on a satisfying tone, I pulled the final note from 'Dystopian Overture'.
Of course, all rights belong to DT and their partners. Go buy their stuff, they deserve it.
